Application Information
Ken Fleet was London Pro Musica Choir’s well-respected conductor for 23 years and taught at Medway High School in Arva, Ontario, where his choral program won the CBC Choral Competition. He also taught at Western, conducting the UWO singers, and co-conducted the Amabile Mens’ and Boys’ Choirs in London with fellow Western graduate Carol Beynon, winning three CBC National Radio Competition awards.
London Pro Musica Choir established the Ken Fleet Choral Conducting Scholarship Fund to reflect Ken Fleet’s passion for the education and development of Canadian choral conductors and to represent Ken’s steadfast dedication to the London Choral Community.
An Awards Committee of five to seven members from London Pro Musica Choir, Amabile Choirs of London, Medway High School and London Community Foundation will review all applications.
Applications are typically accepted between December and February, with all applicants, including the recipient, being notified of the result by late April. Exact dates vary year to year.
